We had an emergency in early January which I have wanted to pass on to you and just haven’t had the time. Our lives were turned upside down and if I hadn’t attended many of the programs you provided I don’t think any of us would have been as capable as we were to make the needed decisions we had to at the time.
My husband had a very bad fall in January and then spent 7 weeks in the hospital after having surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain relating to the fall. All of this was very serious and necessitated him needing placement somewhere where he could continue to receive the care I couldn’t provide. Because of the contacts you provided through your program the family was helped through Oasis to find an Adult Home Health Care Center, with outstanding staff, only a mile and a half from us. What a gift to have him so close, and for having the information we needed to make the best decision for him at that time! Thank you so much for being there with the information we needed.
I think all of us tend to go through life thinking situations such as this will not happen to us-that we will be able to figure out what needs to be done if it does occur.
